What Can Seamless Steel Pipes Be Used for?

Seamless steel pipes are divided into thick-walled seamless steel pipes and thin-walled seamless steel pipes according to different uses. Seamless steel pipes are widely used. General-purpose seamless steel pipes are rolled from ordinary carbon structural steel, low-alloy structural steel or alloy structural steel according to their materials. For example, seamless pipes made of low carbon steel such as Grade 10 and Grade 20 are mainly used as pipelines for steam, coal gas, liquefied gas, natural gas, various petroleum products and various other gases and liquids. Medium carbon steel such as 45 and 40Cr are used to manufacture seamless pipes for various machine fittings and pipe fittings. General-purpose seamless steel pipes are also supplied according to chemical composition and mechanical properties, and hydrostatic tests. For seamless steel pipes subjected to fluid pressure, the hydrostatic test shall be qualified. Special-purpose seamless pipes are used in boilers, geological exploration, bearings and acid resistance, such as petroleum geological drilling pipes, cracking pipes for the petrochemical industry, boiler pipes, bearing pipes, and high-precision structural steel pipes for automobiles, tractors, and aviation.
 
Structural seamless steel pipes are mainly used for general structures and mechanical structures.
Seamless steel pipes for conveying fluids are mainly used for conveying fluid pipes in engineering and large equipment.
Seamless steel pipes for low and medium-pressure boilers are mainly used for pipelines for conveying low and medium-pressure fluids in industrial boilers and domestic boilers.
Seamless steel pipes for high-pressure boilers are mainly used for high-temperature and high-pressure fluid pipes on boilers in power plants and nuclear power plants.
Carbon steel and carbon-manganese steel seamless steel pipes for ships are mainly used for Class I and II pressure pipes for ship boilers and superheaters.
Seamless steel pipes for high-pressure fertilizer equipment are mainly used for pipelines for transporting high-temperature and high-pressure fluids on fertilizer equipment.
Seamless steel pipes for petroleum cracking are mainly used in boilers, heat exchangers and pipelines for conveying fluids in petroleum smelters.
Seamless steel pipes for gas cylinders are mainly used to make various gas and hydraulic cylinders.
Hot-rolled seamless steel pipes for hydraulic props are mainly used to make coal mine hydraulic supports, cylinders, columns, and other hydraulic cylinders and columns.
 
High-pressure seamless steel pipes for diesel engines are mainly used for high-pressure fuel pipes in diesel engine injection systems. The steel pipe is generally cold-drawn.
Cold-drawn or cold-rolled precision seamless steel pipes are mainly used for mechanical structures and carbon pressing equipment, requiring high dimensional accuracy and good surface finish.
Cold-drawn seamless steel pipes are mainly used to make various structural parts and parts, and its material is high-quality carbon structural steel and low-alloy structural steel.
 
Stainless steel seamless steel pipes for boilers and heat exchangers are mainly used for boilers, superheaters, heat exchangers, condensers, catalytic tubes, etc., which are high-temperature, high-pressure and corrosion-resistant steel pipes.
Structural stainless steel seamless pipes with air resistance, acid corrosion resistance and strength are used for general structure (hotel and restaurant decoration) and mechanical structure of chemical enterprises.
Stainless steel seamless steel pipes for fluid transportation are mainly used for pipelines conveying corrosive media.
