Main features of coated steel pipes
The anti-corrosion coating used for the coated steel pipe is the solvent free epoxy coating, and the solidified coating has corrosion resistance, hardness and compactness. The safe and reliable connection method of 3PE anti-corrosion steel pipe made from polyethylene materials are mainly hot melt or electrofusion connection. Through this processing method, the consistency of the structure and the pipe body is basically maintained, and the integration of the joint and the pipeline is realized, which effectively resist the stress. Heavy metal stabilizers are not added in the 3PE anti-corrosion polyethylene steel pipe material during the processing. The material is non-toxic and harmless, so the anti-corrosion steel pipe is also an environmentally friendly steel pipe. In order to protect the environment and save energy, we can choose to use more 3PE coated steel pipes. The 3PE anti-corrosion steel pipe is made from polyethylene, which has light weights, easy operation and simple structure. The welding process is simple, fast and easy to operate, and the 3PE anti-corrosion steel pipe has low total costs and significant economic benefits. Under normal working temperature and pressure, the service life of the 3PE anti-corrosion steel pipe can be guaranteed for more than 50 years, which has much better performance than that of the similar pipe.
 
Advantages of coated steel pipes
1. A coated steel pipe combines mechanical strength of steel and plastic. Its outer wall coating can reach more than 2.5mm, which is resistant to scratches and bumps.
2. The friction coefficient of the wall is small, between 0.0081 to 0.091, reducing energy consumption.
3. The inner wall is not easy to scale and is smooth, and has self-cleaning functions.
4. A coated steel pipe can increase the service life of steel.
 
Applications of coated steel pipes
Coated steel pipes are widely used in pipeline projects such as petroleum, natural gas, chemical industry, electric power, military, shipbuilding, pharmaceuticals, papermaking, heating, water supply and drainage, hydropower stations, piling, bridges and steel.
 
What should be paid attention to during construction of coated steel pipes?
When there is a breakdown for the cement mortar sprayer pipeline, the power and device must be shut down immediately. Deal with the problem after pressure relief. When the workers are off duty or the work is interrupted, measures must be taken at the entrance and exit of the pipeline to prevent pedestrians from falling and ensure driving safety. When internal anti-corrosion of the cement mortar is maintained on site, the wellhead on the pipeline must be covered securely; the pit must be fenced and a safety sign must be set. After the workers being off duty for the anti-corrosion operation in the pipeline, the manager should immediately count the number of operators and confirm that all the personnel in the pipeline are evacuated before leaving the scene. During the operation, the workers must be directed by the operation team leader. The entrances and exits on the ground should be supervised by a dedicated person and safety signs should be set up. The workers working inside and outside of the pipe should be in contact with each other and cooperate with each other. When performing on-site internal anti-corrosion of the cement mortar in the pipeline, the pipeline must be well ventilated. Before entering the pipeline, the manhole cover must be opened for ventilation.
 
Before entering the pipeline, concentration of the oxygen, toxic and harmful gas in the air inside the pipeline must be checked and confirm that the oxygen, toxic and harmful gas concentration in the air are qualified. If you do not enter the pipeline immediately after confirming everything, you should retest, confirm and record the data. During the operation, air quality of the working environment must be dynamically monitored, and the qualification must be confirmed and recorded. When the centrifugal prefabrication method is used for the internal anti-corrosion construction of the pipe joint mortar, the prefabricated site should have unobstructed drainage, not pollute the environment, or disturb the residents. The centrifuge equipment should be designed and have construction drawings. The mechanical equipment should be installed firmly and the safety devices should be complete and effective. The electrical connection must meet the specific requirements for the technical disclosure of electrical safety in construction.
