The relevant person in charge of environmental protection department investigate and survey "Water Pollution Control and Governance" (hereinafter referred to as the "water" special) , national science and technology major projects in Beijing, the results of the period of "11th Five-Year Plan" whose theme is about river and work progress condition of the "12th Five-Year Plan".
The principal stressed that as water is a national major project of science and technology, science and technology innovation is the first key issue. Demonstration project must reflect innovative technology, and water treated as a special demonstration project can not be made ordinary water pollution control project. Special demonstration project should reflect practicality, at the same time; it could play an exemplary role in promoting through the demonstration, the standardization of the forming technology within a bigger scope for its promotion and its application.
A special Haihe River water project has been set up 10 topics (including two industrialization topics) by 2014, planning to set up another four topics in 2015, mainly for different forms of rivers in mountains, plains, China is ready to carry out the comprehensive integration and demonstration study and provide strong support for river pollution control and water quality improvement of technological system mainly in Beijing, Tianjin and Yongding river and so on.
Through the study of the Haihe River and its ecological integrity, the government will provide strong technical support for water environmental security in the 13th Five-Year Plan.
